TALOCAN 🔥 | A 4K Phantasialand Cinematic
Recently, we wanted to create a cinematic that felt more like a story than a traditional theme park video. With Talocan at Phantasialand, we found the perfect location to experiment with not putting the main focus on music, but more on the sounddesign and effects.
Inspired by the mythology and chaotic energy surrounding the attraction, this project was designed to slowly pull viewers from the peaceful atmosphere of Mexico into the fiery underworld hidden beneath the surface.
How did we film this project?
Captured cinematic footage throughout the Mexico themed area and around Talocan using a Sony FX30 combined with smooth handheld movement and detailed close-up shots
Planned the cinematic in two clear visual chapters: “The Surface” and “The Underworld”, each with its own pacing, energy, and editing style
Fine postproduction with cinematic color grading focused on warm fire tones, deep shadows, and contrast to create a darker and more mythological look
Integrated subtle hidden details and storytelling elements, including visual references connected to the history of FPRides and FPMedia
Who brought this project to life?
This production was fully handled by our small creative team at FPMedia. Editing, sounddesign, colorgrading, music mixing, visual effects are all done by us.
The final product?
A dark and atmospheric cinematic that transforms Talocan from a theme park attraction into a living myth — combining storytelling, sound design, and cinematic visuals into an immersive experience that slowly descends into chaos beneath the surface.
