Some projects are less about spectacle and more about preservation. With this production, we wanted to document and preserve the nostalgic atmosphere of The Chinese Nightingale before the original version disappears from Efteling.

As one of the classic fairy tales within the park, the attraction carried a calm and timeless atmosphere that has been part of many visitors’ childhood memories. Knowing that the original version would eventually make way for a renewed interpretation, this project was created as a cinematic archive - allowing viewers to experience the fairy tale one final time through a detailed walkthrough and multicamera presentation.

How did we film this project?

• Captured the complete experience using a Sony FX30 combined with the Sony 18-105mm F4 PZ OSS lens for smooth and flexible cinematic coverage

• Used the DJI RS4 gimbal to create stabilized walkthrough footage through the attraction and surrounding pathways

• Carefully structured the video into three distinct sections: the entrance walkthrough, the full main show, and the exit experience

Who brought this project to life?

This production was fully handled by FPMedia. We managed the complete creative process, including filming, camera movement, editing, color grading, and final postproduction.

A nostalgic cinematic farewell that preserves the original version of The Chinese Nightingale for future viewers, combining smooth walkthrough cinematography, multicamera coverage, and atmospheric editing into a respectful tribute to a classic Efteling fairy tale.
