To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Walibi Belgium, we wanted to capture one of the most ambitious entertainment projects ever created by the park: the biggest drone show in Belgium.

This production focused on capturing not only the technical spectacle of the show itself, but also the magic and nostalgia behind it. Throughout the performance, the drones recreated iconic moments, attractions, and visual references from Walibi’s history and vintage park logos to modern experiences such as Kondaa and Popcorn Revenge.

How did we film this project?

• Filmed with a Sony A7III and Sony ZV-E10, supported by the FeiyuTech Scorp Mini gimbal for smooth cinematic movement and stabilized crowd shots

• Focused on balancing wide cinematic compositions with detailed close-ups of drone formations and audience reactions

• Structured the edit around the timeline of Walibi Belgium’s history, allowing the pacing of the video to follow the emotional progression of the performance itself

Who brought this project to life?

This video was created through a collaboration between FPMedia and WalibiBoy. Ferre handled the gimbal operation and postproduction of the project, while Niels covered the second camera angle.

The final product?

A celebratory cinematic production that captures the scale, nostalgia, and atmosphere of Walibi Belgium’s 50th anniversary drone show, combining technical nighttime ‘camerawork’ with storytelling focused on the park’s past, present, and future.
